It seems that very soon well known and popular enough model Ford Fusion will be changed for a new one. According the Automobile Magazine the next model name is B-MAX.

Moreover, besides the name the new one will get a new “character” as well. If Fusion is likely “little crossover” with a slightly raised ground clearance and “harsh” appearance, the new B-MAX will be a classic mono-cab.

Ford B-MAX will become the fourth in the line model of Ford (the company now produces a model C-MAX, S-MAX and Galaxy). Like the Fusion, this car will be built on the platform of Fiesta, and under its hood will be petrol engines volume of 1.4 liters (96 hp) and 1.6 liters (120 hp), and 1,6 — liter diesel (90 hp).

It is expected that demonstration of the new B-MAX will take place in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show.
Regarding the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid fuel economy, it is built for those who are seeking a more efficient mid-size sedan. It’s not a racecar, although it looks like one. The automobile now offers four individual powertrains: a 2.5-liter I-4 (175 horsepower), a 2.5-liter I-4 hybrid (192 hp), an E-85-capable 3.0-liter V-6 (240 hp), and a 3.5-liter V-6 (263 hp).

The Ford Fusion Hybrid comes with front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive can be ordered on select models. The Atkinson cycle 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine will provide 155 horsepower for the car. The electric motor housed within the transmission unit adds 36 horsepower at full-throttle, providing a total of 191 horsepower.

Another remarkable thing about the 2010 Ford Fusion is its ability to propel itself on electric power alone. The vehicle can operate on electric power for short distances and at low speeds. It comes with a more powerful battery pack that allows the gasoline engine to shut off more often.
